Trends come and go, but true quality and classic style are here to stay.
We’ve seen it over and over, the incoming trends, the next big thing paving the way for the influx and onslaught of what we are told to buy, what we are told to wear, what we are told will turn heads our way. Some of this can be okay, it’s certainly part of human nature to move on to the next big thing, but there is something to be said about that simple classic staple style-and furthermore, there is really something said about redefining that classic style and making it just as relevant today as it was years ago, when it became a classic.

Enter Randolph Engineering. Started in 1972 by two Polish immigrants chasing the American Dream (*badass) with a focus on handmade quality sunglasses using time tested manufacturing techniques and tools. By the late 70s Randolph was producing over 200,000 a year for the pilots in the United States Air Force. Those styles are still available today, along with what I consider a true feat, updated styles that hold true to their classic genesis. This is the hardest thing to do, evolve but stay within the time tested hold that made the product so popular and useful.
Maintaining that balance is forever what I am in pursuit of. Staying relevant enough in style, fit, cut, patterns, etc. while all the while staying true to what I’ve enjoyed for years. With multiple styles, sizes, colors, finishes and designs, Randolph does a terrific job of maintaining a product line that is desirable, fashionable and relevant.
Some of my favorites are The Aviator I & II, Sportsman and Concorde.
